Welcome

Good Business

TO MY FELLOW MISFITS, ARTISTS, & CREATIVES...

Do you feel like your business has run in survival mode the last 18 months, and you've been given two options to move forward with: bypass humanity and focus on more strategy, or write off trauma as a mindset block, and neither feel like the right option?

league-2

Let's build a human first business together.

The business coaching space only provides us with two options: strategy, systems, and chasing six figures, OR mindset blocks, and quantum leaping our way to success through healing.

Truth is, neither option is created with you and your full humanity in mind—and they don’t account for privilege, trauma, lived experience, or folks with a message that goes against the grain.

There's nothing wrong with six figure dreams and beyond, I want money in your hands, a lot of it.

But I believe human-first business strategy can be profitable, and should exist alongside real, non-bypassy healing. In fact, it HAS to coexist to be good for you, and good for the world.

Which is why I created.... GOOD BUSINESS

A 6-month, small-group mentorship for misfit entrepreneurs like you who want to heal while implementing a profitable business strategy that honors your full humanity, so you can sell out your offers without selling out and burning out.

arrow-down-left

Business is deeply human. And, like our humanity, it’s nuanced.

The last two years have been the most heavy and challenging times for our business and our humanity.

We’ve been forced to rely on our resilience and strategy to get us through, for ourselves, our clients, and our loved ones—even when it felt like we couldn’t make it another day.

But we can’t continue to run our business on strategy and resilience alone—especially if you want to grow your income, while honoring your capacity.

We’re all burned out after the last couple years (seriously, who isn’t?) but it’s a great privilege to be able to take a big step back in business, or pause altogether—a privilege most of us don’t have.

And the traditional business space wasn’t made with misfit entrepreneurs like you in mind.

"Hiring Rachel and Sara was the best thing I've ever done. I used to be caught up in the world of coaches promising six and seven figures, but none of them acknowledged ME. Who I was. So I never thought it could be my reality. BUT!!!!!! I've made four times what I was making only 3 months into working with them. I can't even begin to tell you how burnt out and hopeless I felt when I hired them, and I was skeptical if moving in this way would work for me but it does. I've referred all my friends to Rachel and Sara and I can't stress enough, you will not regret this."-Grace

If you want to do business differently, you might consider yourself a misfit.

Some folks wonder "am I a misfit?", to that I say if you have a desire to move through and expand your business without conforming to traditional narratives— you are.

We’re told business is binary—that we can only have one way or the other.

Strategy, or mindset.

Integrity, or income.

Balance, or burnout.

Business, or humanity.

But for folks like us, it’s not either/or. It’s both/and. Which is why you’ve likely never felt like you belonged in the traditional business space—especially when all of the advice we’re given, and the narratives we hear from the coaching industry, all sound the same.

  • They say “Create connection in community,” when they really mean, “Create forced connections inside a group program that will bring no real value to anyone but the coach.”
  • They say “Steal my proven framework,” when they really mean, “This process worked for me because of my privilege, and it will work for you too, but only if you want it bad enough & do as I say.”
  • They say “I’ll help you stop getting in your own way & teach you how to manifest your dreams” when they really mean, “You’re just lazy—let me bulldoze your trauma, lived experience, and humanity with some breath work.”

How are we supposed to feel truly seen, heard, understood, and supported with all of these conflicting, underlying messages that put us into a box?

It's time for trauma informed business support, because you deserve it.

This is how I’ve always felt in the business space, too.

I’m Rachel, a business coach for misfits, artists, and creatives. For the folks who go against the grain in business and life, and see business as art.

I’ve never really fit inside any traditional mold, especially the online business space. But, in my 10 years of business, I have never felt more alone than I have during the pandemic.

In March 2020, my nana died (the woman who raised me), and then the world immediately shut down. My wife Sara and I held space for our clients as much as we possibly could, while still trying to navigate coping with the pandemic ourselves. In many ways, I was constantly surrounded by love and support, yet I had never felt further away from myself.

I was so lonely, but wanted to be left alone, too. It was deeply confusing, and sad. Everyone said "it's okay to not be okay", but no one actually talked about what this looked like.

A lot has changed since then—my capacity being one of them. I’ve noticed this a lot with my clients, too. But the business space doesn’t prioritize our capacity and healing, especially if we want to build a thriving business that feels good to us, and does good for others.

It wasn’t until I read Group, a brilliant book by Christie Tate, that made me realize I wanted to run a different kind of group program. One that could be a beautifully supportive space for healing AND growing in our business.

But it couldn’t just be *any* kind of group program. It needed to be one that actually benefits the folks inside of it, where everyone is truly celebrated to come as they are—where humanity is held, and never bypassed. Where honest strategy meets emotional wellbeing, and wealth is supported through sustainable and trauma informed practices.

"I've sold out every.single.offer rachel and sara have helped me create and launch. I don't have a large following, and I hate social media, don't think you aren't ready or don't have enough of an audience. they know how to do this, and they do it right. I'm obsessed with them, and I can't stop hiring them again and again. —Michelle

"Rachel's support, coaching and guidance the last year has been more than I ever could have asked for. I don't see success solely rooted in money but I can't ignore that we were able to not only navigate a pandemic, and the worst period of my mental health ever, but also reach $30k months not once, not twice, but for the duration of our coaching. Even though our work has come to an end, my consistent months have not. And I'm able to be in my business in ways that feel like me. The greatest gift she could have ever given me," —Jenny

Sara and Rachel

Rachel & Sara here—your business & leadership coaches for the next six months!

Good Business brings the best of small-group mentorship & 1:1 coaching all in one.

Sara and I believe a good business is one that moves human-first, with leadership that is transformational, not transactional—where strategy and healing intersect.

As trauma-informed business and leadership coaches, Sara and I also believe that everyone is deserving of trauma-informed care, meaning your business and offers hold you and your clients in your full humanity—without using shame, manipulation, or lived experience to get folks in the door.

Building truly sustainable practices for how you move and exist inside of your business is at the core of our work inside Good Business—focusing on your Leadership Designs and Attachment Styles, how you hold space for yourself and your clients, and how you structure, market, and sell your offers.

Good Business was made for the entrepreneur who...

    • Experiences high & low periods in your business: You’re currently serving clients and/or have signed clients before, but launches or enrollments are typically inconsistent.
    • Experiences inconsistent launches: You’ve had some really successful launches, but you often find them to be hit or miss, and you’re not sure why.
    • Has implemented some successful biz strategies: But, again, there’s inconsistency here—sometimes they work well, and other times, not so much. Why is this?
    • Has built a solid foundation in their business, but wants to really find their rhythm: You’ve proven your resilience and commitment to entrepreneurship, but want to bring in more consistency in your energy and your income by building strategies that work for you, not for everyone else.
    • Feels deeply lonely in their business: Even though you have clients and loved ones in your corner, there’s a sense of loneliness as a misfit entrepreneur that’s tough to shake.
    • Feels burnt out & exhausted by how they’re currently doing business: Pushing through the pandemic over the last two years has left you feeling unmotivated, in a creative dry spell, and maybe even like you’ve lost hope in coming home to the person you once were.
    • Wants to heal AND make more money: Yes, you can do both—without bypassing privilege, trauma, and lived experience, or using shame and manipulation to do it.

If you can relate to the above, I promise that you’re not alone. I’ve built Good Business as a place to come to build safety and trust in community, in your own body, and build a you-centered business all in one space.

We don't take it lightly you're about to let us into your headspace + business.

League-abstract

Good Business is literally the antithesis of every other “scale your way to success” program.

In fact, it’s probably every other business coach’s nightmare… which the Scorpio in me absolutely loves.

I can’t promise any sort of specific financial outcome, and never will. However, my decade in business, paired with Sara’s Masters in Leadership, and our combined 15+ years of experience working closely with entrepreneurs of all different levels of privilege & trauma has shown us the types of support that’s most impactful for misfit business-owners.

By the end of our 6 months together, you’ll walk away with...

  • Trauma-informed space-holding training that you will hold a deep understanding of how to implement & emulate in your offers, client containers, & marketing
  • Customized marketing strategy that will set you up for financial growth in your biz, built based on your Leadership Design profile, Attachment Styles, privilege, trauma, lived experience, unique message, and business goals
  • Customized launch plan for the entire year including content ideas for social & email, and a content calendar mapping out your launch/enrollment periods & posting schedule
  • Audited offers, copy, systems, & strategies for ethical, human-first, & trauma-informed/aware practices
  • Deeper understanding of your capacity & humanity with a focus on nervous system regulation, self-discernment, holding space for & tending to yourself, and recognizing trauma responses in yourself & others

You deserve a business strategy that was created with you (and only you) in mind—not one that was copy + pasted from someone else.

Strategy only works when the whole of you is held.

This is why Good Business brings both human-first strategy and nervous system regulation and healing together. Because true healing and growth happens in community, but only if that community is built on a trauma-informed foundation that recognizes and honors ALL of you, not just the parts of you the traditional business space tells you to show.

You can want more for your business and your life, while also tending to your capacity, needs, and mental health.

You can grow as a leader and as a space-holder for both you and your clients at the same time.

You can build your business to support you financially, emotionally, and creatively, without having to compromise on your values or working yourself into the ground.

And we can’t wait to show you how.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What if I can't make a call? Is it still worth it?

Yes! Even if you miss a call and watch the replay, you're still walking away with the core of how YOU move through business. And, you'll be able to submit your questions if you can't make it live.

What is voxer access like?

Voxer is where we can talk all things you and your business, you have access to both Sara and I Monday through Friday. In this space you can share whats coming up for you in your personal world, and anything that relates to your business. This isn't a therapeutic space, as we stay in our scope of practice, but most clients utilize this form of communication anywhere between 20x a day, to 2x a week depending on the support you need.

I'm burnt out on 'things' to do, will this work for me?

This isn't a 'thing' you have to do. This is all about learning how YOU work, and what you need to support yourself and your business. Think of this is taking all the 'things' off your plate so you can finally take a breath in your business. We believe healing, and honest businesses thrive in community care and deep support. We acknowledge the last 18 months, and how this has deeply impacted entrepreneurs and are excited to hold space for you to participate as much or as little as you need.

Payment plans?

Absolutely. We are happy to accommodate any kind of payment plan you need, with no additional charge.

MORE LOVE NOTES

"I've been a business coach for 10 years and thought I knew it all. But I didn't know how much I needed Rachel and Sara's support. My business has been what I consider successful for quite some time, but in the year and a half I've been with them, we've tripled my yearly income. I've pulled back from doing the most, realizing in no way did I actually need to work like that in order to grow my business. I've hired a lot of coaches and have spent a stupid amount of money but hiring this brilliant duo was the best investment I've ever made. No doubt best business investment of my career" —Sam
